WHAT IS OUR GOAL?
The goal of Operation Home Fires is to mobilize the faith-based community into support of the families of deployed military personnel within Central Florida.
WHY WE EXIST?
As our military men and women are deployed for conflict worldwide, challenges can arise for their loved ones back at home. Families run the risk of being hurt, disenfranchised from their community, and embarrassed to ask for help. We feel that these families should be honored for their sacrifice to our country and supported in every way possible.
We anticipate that families who are experiencing their first taste of active military deployment and/or service may not be as accustomed to working within the military structure of services. Bills may go unpaid, notices may not be properly handled, and much needed services for the family may be either curtailed or abandoned.
ABOUT CHRISTIAN SERVICE CENTER
The Christian Service Center is a community social service agency organized by the Christian Churches of Central Florida to accomplish together what can not be done alone by helping people help themselves.

The Christian Service Center is a private, non-profit service agency which, since 1971, has provided the hurting of our community with programs designed to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. The Center is supported by area churches, businesses, civic organizations, foundations, and individuals. The Family & Emergency Services program of the Christian Service Center continues to be a resource for those seeking short term assistance with groceries, rent and utilities, transportation, clothing, and referrals to other social service agencies. Offices are located in downtown Orlando, Winter Park, and Ocoee.
Operation Home Fires is a community project sponsored and hosted by the Christian Service Center for Central Florida.
