From
the
Executive
Director
Through
Heaven's
Eyes
So
how
can
you
see
hat
your
life
is
worth
or
where
your
value
lies?
You
can
never
see
through
the
eyes
of
man,
you
must
look
at
your
life
through
Heaven's
Eyes
A
single
thread
in
a
tapestry
though
its
color
brightly
shine
Can
never
see
its
purpose
in
the
pattern
of
the
grand
design.
And
the
stone
that
sits
on
the
very
top
of
the
mountain's
mighty
face does
it
think
it's
more
important
than
the
stones
that
form
the
base?
A
lake
of
gold
in
the
desert
sand
is
less
than
a
cool
fresh
spring and
to
one
lost
sheep,
a
shepherd
boy
is
greater
than
the
richest
king.
If
a
man
lose
everything
he
owns,
has
he
truly
lost
his
worth?
Or
is
it
the
beginning
of
a
new
and
brighter
birth? |

| When Stephen Schwartz and Hans Zimmer penned this song, there were images of a lost Prince of Egypt struggling to find his direction in the deserts of Sinai. Who would have suspected that Moses would lead a struggling band of nomads into one of the mightiest nations? Who could have pictured a man with a speech impediment talking with Egypt's pharaoh about the trials and tribulations of God's chosen people? Only when you look through God's eyes can this become a reality!
In August, Central Florida lost a very special man, Champ Williams. Many of you have heard about Champ and his family , about their difficulties and tragedies along with his great business success. But, you |
may not know about his direct impact on the lives of our neighbors here in Central Florida. Champ was encouraged by Dr. Howard Chadwick to help by providing food for our fledgling Daily Bread program in 1975. Through the generosity of Champ and his family, more than 900,000 meals were served to the homeless and helpless of our community. Champ's passing marks an era in our community and a valued life that can only be looked at through God's eyes. Thank you, Champ.
But, what about the lives touched. You have heard me talk about Thomas Sanders in a prior article. As you will remember, Thomas was a resident of Fresh Start in 1990 and, in his words, was "saved |
through the Fresh Start program." Today, Thomas is leading his home church in Gary, Indiana, to start a similar mission outreach to men ... one that will touch thousands of lives in the years to come. When we saw Thomas, how could we know what God had in mind?
Lives are precious and valuable. Often, those who we do not care to see are the very ones that God will use to do great and mighty things. Your support for the Christian Service Center allows us, no inspires us to touch lives each and every day. As we approach our 30th year in 2001, that is our theme ... touching lives each day. We have touched lives since 1971 and will continue to touch lives through your support and generosity. |

The Alzheimer's Respite Care Program is in need of arts and crafts supplies. Construction paper, crayons, glue, yarn, and other items are used in daffy activities with the Alzheimer's patients. In addition, the Center is looking for a record player, a portable radio with cassette player, a vacuum cleaner and a TV / VCR combo. If you can help with these items, please call the ARCP office at 407-423-5311.

Other Ways
to Give to
the Center
Many of our supporters receive great satisfaction in donating cash gifts to our Center, but did you know that we also accept gifts of stock, mutual fund shares . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . life insurance, life income gifts and real estate? This ensures that your gift will keep on giving. In fact, your giving potential may be greater than you anticipated. To find out more about donating gifts to the Center, please contact Bob Klinefelter at 407-425-2523 ext. 229. |
