Fall

Outreach
A
message
from
the
Executive
Director:
How
do
you
look
at
life?
I
heard
it
again
this
week--"If
not
for
the
grace
of
God,
there
go
I!"
I
hear
this
nearly
every
week
from
people
who
have
a
willing
attitude
to
helping
our
community.
It
appears
to me
that
there
are
two
kinds
of
people
in
this
world
-
those
who
look
at
their
life
as a
drinking
glass
that
is
either
"half
empty"
or
"half
full."
Are
you
an
optimist
or
pessimist?
Are
you
ready
to
take
on
the
challenges
ahead
or
content
with
what
you
have
accomplished?
In
short,
are
you a
risk
taker
or
not?
Over
the
past
31
years,
the
Christian
Service
Center
has
been
blessed
with
forward-thinking
leaders
from
throughout
our
community
who
see
the
potential
both
our
clients
we
serve
and
in
our
organization.
These
leaders
have
looked
beyond
our
current
situation
into
the
future
and
dreamed
of
what
could
be.
They
have
had
faith--the
substance
of
things
hoped
for
and
the
evidence
of
things
unseen.
These
leaders,
along
with
thousands
of
supporters
like
you,
have
expressed
their
faith
in
many
ways.
Fortunately,
this
trust
has
also
been
passed
along
to
those
we
serve.
We
share
our
faith
when
we
provide
food,
clothes,
or
rent
assistance
to
someone
in
need;
when
we
provide
a
cold
drink
or a
helping
hand;
when
we
tutor
a
child
with
an
inquisitive
mind;
or,
when
we
care
for a
loved
one
so
that
a
tired
caregiver
can
get
rest.
In
like
manner,
our
clients
express
their
faith
in
the
Center’s
many
programs
when
the
appear
at
our
doorsteps.
Whether
it is
a
family
in
need
or an
individual,
each
have
reached
out
for
help,
not
knowing
how
we
would
respond.
This
is a
confidence
that
they
express
in
us,
an
honor
to
serve
the
"least
of
these"
in
our
community.
Since
the
inception
of
the
Christian
Service
Center,
we
have
aimed
to
help
those
in
need,
whether
homeless,
hurting,
or
helpless.
As we
enter
into
the
Holiday
Season,
it is
with
a
deep
sense
of
gratitude
that
we
recognize
the
faith
you
have
placed
in
us.
We
are
humbled
as we
serve
with
your
blessing
and
in
response
to
God’s
love
in
our
lives.
| On behalf of those we serve, thank you. |
