From
the
Executive
Director
"...The
faces
of
those
in
need
haven't
changed."
The
market's
up...the
market's
down...recession
looms
like
a
waiting
dog...or
does
it?
For
thirty
years,
the
Christian
Service
Center
has
been
serving
our
community...during
good
times
and
bad,
during
both
the
Bull
Market
and
the
Bear
Market.
Many
things
have
changed
in
Central
Florida
since
1971,
and
let
me
assure
you,
we
have
seen
it
all.
What
hasn't
changed
is
the
growing
number
of
people
in
need.
Many
of
the
daily
struggles
have
been
the
same
since
our
beginning...struggles
with
finances,
food,
clothing,
a
hot
meal,
or
caring
for
the
sick
loved
one.
But
more
than
that,
the
faces
of
those
in
need
haven't
changed.
Sure,
it's
not
the
same
people
who
have
asked
for
assistance
thirty
years
ago,
but
the
look
in
their
eyes
is
identical.
It's
the
look
of
hopelessness
in
a
cruel
world.
It's
the
look
that
breaks
your
heart,
that
challenges
you
to
want
to
do
more.
It's
a
look
that
inspires
not
only
our
staff
but
also
our
volunteers
and
supporters
like
you.
When
the
Center
began,
it
was
founded
to
serve
those
in
need
by
our
Christian
community.
This
group
challenged
us,
inspired
us,
and
encouraged
us
to
be
Christ
in
a
hurting
world.
Your
support
has
been
the
catalyst
that
has
helped
us
continue
to
serve
hundreds
of
thousands
in
need,
one
life
at
a
time.
Without
people
like
you,
we
would
have
been
gone
long
ago.
Your
gifts,
your
prayers
and
your
encouragement
is
from
where
we
draw
our
resources
to
continue
to
serve.
Thank
you!
As
we
look
toward
the
summer
months,
we
are
asking
our
supporters
to
help
remember
the
work
of
the
Christian
Service
Center
during
a
time
when
our
resources
are
most
taxed.
Please
consider
a
special
gift
to
help
during
the
upcoming
"dry
months."
After
all,
the
mission
of
the
Center
has
not
changed
in
thirty
years...to
help
those
in
need. |

Prayer Requests
We praise our Father for his guidance during the past 30 years, and we ask that He continues to guide us in our daily operations as we seek to fulfill his vision.
We ask for daily guidance, support, and wisdom for our staff & volunteers as they aid our less fortunate neighbors.

What’s
Happening
with
ARCP
|
 |
On Saturday, April 21st, the Alzheimer’s Respite Care Program held it’s annual spring picnic. It was a time for our staff, volunteers, caregivers, and clients to celebrate a day of fun in the sun! |
|
The Volunteer Department is working hard recruiting volunteers for both ARCP and our newest innovative project, EMS (Emergency Ministry to Seniors). This program targets low-income seniors in our community that are in need of short-term non-medical services such as grocery shopping or picking up medications. If you are will to lend a helping hand, please call 407-423-5311. |

Benefit
Concert
by
"Rejoice"
|
The group Rejoice performed a benefit concert for the Christian Service Center on Sunday, March 25th at the First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. Over $2,000 was raised in this one night! A special thanks to Southern Community Bank who sponsored a dessert reception after the concert, Dan Wallace who served as committee chair, and Dot Lambert who is one of our faithful volunteers who helped to make the event a success
