Hundreds attend Street Celebration!

On April 10th, over 600 people attended the "United
We Serve" celebration at the Christian Service Center. Guests enjoyed
hotdogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, and more. In addition to face painting
by Cookie the Clown and health screenings by Orlando Regional Healthcare
System (ORHS), karaoke music was also available for our guests! Stuff of
the Orlando Magic was on hand to sign autographs. A special "thank you" to
our sponsors: SunTrust Bank, Publix Charities Foundation, TG Lee, Rainbow
Fruit & Nut, BCTGM (Local 103), and West Orange Church of Christ.

Board member Zander Clem and his wife, Carmen,
opened their home to us for "A Night in New Orleans" benefit this past March.
Guests were treated to crawfish puffs, jambalaya, and bread pudding. The
event raised over $28,000 for the Center!
Muller's Pasta and Second Harvest Food Bank Partner with Daily Bread to Feed
Homeless

In an effort to feed 100,000 people in 12 cities across the
United States, Mueller’s Pasta donated more than one ton (2,000 pounds)
of pasta to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida this past
March. Some of this pasta made it’s way to the Center’s Daily Bread
program. "We are happy to collaborate our efforts with Mueller’s
Noodles. Their donation directly impacts the fight against hunger in
Orlando," said Jennifer Shaddock, Christian Service Center director of
marketing. A hearty meal of Muller’s Chicken and Noodles was served
to over 300 guests at the downtown Daily Bread kitchen.
Share the Care’s Annual Spring Picnic
Each April, our Share the Care program holds a picnic
for clients and family members. It’s a day of food and fun for all—and
