About Us
Built to Meet Real Needs in Our Community
When people face housing instability, hunger, or unexpected financial hardship, the path forward isn’t always clear. Across Orlando—from Parramore to West Orange and Winter Park—families and individuals are looking for practical help they can trust. Christian Service Center was built to meet those real, everyday needs with services that are accessible, coordinated, and grounded in dignity. With multiple service locations and strong community partnerships, we help people find stability and take meaningful steps forward.
Building a Future Where Help Is Always Within Reach
A History of Showing Up When It Matters Most
Christian Service Center began in 1971 when several downtown Orlando churches came together to respond to a growing need in their community. As Central Florida grew, so did the number of individuals and families struggling to make ends meet—and collaboration became the best way to meet that need.
Since then, we’ve continued to expand our reach and services—launching Daily Bread in 1975 to provide free meals, growing into West Orange and Winter Park areas, and evolving into a coordinated day-services model that meets people where they are. Over the decades, hundreds of thousands of people have been served through programs designed to provide both immediate relief and long-term stability. Today, we continue to grow and adapt, expanding our facilities and strengthening partnerships to meet the needs of a changing Central Florida community.
