“The Christian Service Center is a serving arm of the churches in our community, sponsored by the Orange County Association of Churches. The Center serves on behalf of the churches to alleviate the needs of persons in distress…to help those for whom no other help is available…to be sensitive to changing needs in our community…to strengthen individuals and families…to assist churches in their ministry. We are a servant fellowship of professionals and volunteers seeking Christ’s ministry.”

–Rev. William J. Kiether, Executive Director, 1975

Over the past 50 years, we have served this community by providing millions of free lunchtime meals, countless articles of clothing, financial assistance with utilities and rent, as well as transportation and crisis counseling. We continue to fulfill the mission set forth before us and improve the availability of life-changing services to the less fortunate.

Help support our mission for the next 50 years! Prayerfully consider giving or getting involved through service.

On June 22, 2021, our Downtown Orlando campus opened wide to welcome the Parramore community, our unsheltered and impoverished lunchtime guests, members of our board of directors and friends old and new for a hot but fun afternoon of great food and campus tours. Pastor PJ Charles & Straight Street made sure everyone got fed in an orderly fashion, Chefs Against Hunger grilled up 400 hamburgers and hotdogs, while 20 volunteers from the City of Orlando happily helped set up, serve, and clean up! We were honored to have Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orlando City Council members Robert F. Stuart, Regina Hill and Bakari F. Burns, all of whom who have a personal connection or long history with us. We are poised for many successful years ahead with aspirations to functionally end homelessness in Orlando through hard work, concrete plans and achievable annual goals.
