WE REACHED OUR GOAL FOR DAILY BREAD'S RESTROOM RENOVATION!
Dr. Phillips Charities has pledged a $60,000 matching grant for upgrade
2018 contributions from foundations, businesses, and individual donors qualified this project for 2-for-1 matching dollars from Dr. Phillips Charities.
A longtime supporter of the Christian Service Center, Dr. Phillips Charities pledged a two-for-one matching grant of $60,000 for renovations needed to upgrade Daily Bread’s restrooms to offer more accessibility, privacy, and security for our downtown clients.
For years, Daily Bread downtown’s public restrooms have been an inconvenient and ill-equipped space for our thousands of clients. The restrooms’ original design frankly wasn’t built for use in a commercial restaurant.
We are extremely grateful and honored to have surpassed our 2018 year-end goal of $30,000 in contributions to qualify for this matching grant. We are excited to select a contractor and get this renovation in motion soon!
This renovation is estimated to cost in the ballpark of $100,000. Due to the extensive remodeling necessary, these restrooms were not able to be included in the wonderful 2017 RFMA Gives renovation, leaving our facility with a noticeable omission.
“We want to provide a better environment for our clients, separate rooms with privacy that are secure and upgraded to today’s standards.”
–Robert Stuart, Executive Director
