Thank You Giving Machine!

Our team recently had the privilege of receiving a generous check from Giving Machine Florida in support of the Christian Service Center. We are deeply grateful to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the volunteers who made the Giving Machines possible, and everyone who chose to give.
These donations will provide socks and underwear, protection from extreme heat and cold, hot meals through Daily Bread, and even help cover transportation through our Reunification Program, giving people the opportunity to reconnect with family or another safe support system and end their homelessness.
The idea behind the Giving Machine caught my attention, especially the way the project turns a simple donation into something people can experience together rather than treating giving as a completely private transaction. I found the focus on choosing specific needs particularly interesting, because seeing exactly what a contribution represents can make the connection between the donor and the person being helped feel much more tangible. There’s also something nice about how a physical installation can bring charitable giving into an everyday public setting and invite people who might not otherwise stop to think about local or wider community needs.
