The Christian Service Center is incredibly grateful to the Universal Orlando Foundation for awarding us a Celebration of Giving grant to help bring our new warming kitchen to life at our Downtown Orlando campus. This generous investment is part of more than $3.2 million the Foundation distributed to Central Florida nonprofits in 2025 to support organizations addressing critical needs across our community.

For over 50 years, our Daily Bread program has provided free hot meals to neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness. Today, we serve an average of 600 meals every day. The new warming kitchen will build on that legacy by allowing guests to receive a hot meal throughout the day rather than only during traditional meal service times. For individuals who are working, attending appointments, or navigating the process of securing housing, this flexibility can make a meaningful difference.

The warming kitchen will connect directly to our main building and feature warming cabinets, refrigeration, and a serving window facing our central courtyard. It will also give the many volunteer and faith-based groups who help serve meals on our campus a well-equipped space to prepare and distribute food.

Thank you to the Universal Orlando Foundation for helping make this vision possible.

This is a wonderful example of how community partnerships can create meaningful and lasting change for people in need. The support provided to help bring a warming kitchen to life demonstrates the positive impact that businesses, charities, and local organisations can have when they work together toward a shared goal. Access to warm meals and welcoming spaces can make a significant difference for individuals and families facing difficult circumstances, and it is inspiring to see resources being directed toward such a practical and compassionate initiative. Stories like this highlight the importance of community investment and the value of supporting services that provide dignity, care, and hope. As someone who appreciates the role of strong support systems, I find these efforts…

This is such a beautiful initiative—a warming kitchen that serves hot meals throughout the day can make a world of difference for people facing so many daily challenges. The flexibility to grab a meal between appointments or while navigating housing is a simple but powerful kindness. I can only imagine how much work goes into maintaining all the refrigeration and cooking equipment needed to serve 600 meals daily. Having reliable commercial-grade appliances and a trusted Viking appliance repair in Boston MA service makes such a difference in keeping a kitchen like this running smoothly for the community. Thank you to the Universal Orlando Foundation and the Christian Service Center for this incredible work

Stadium food is often overlooked when discussing football traditions, yet platforms like Scrandle show how important local cuisine can be to the overall supporter experience.
