Pastors Convene for Mini-Conference on Homelessness
On May 4, the first of our new conference series was held in the upstairs community room at our Downtown campus. Co-hosted by board members Rev. Dr. Vance Rains and Rev. Dr. Robert Spooney, and moderated by Executive Director Eric Gray, this was a gathering of faith leaders for honest conversation about homelessness, brainstorming what churches are doing well or not so well and obstacles to serving those in need. Our prayer is this conference was a first step on our part to bring the faith community together to better coordinate access to solutions-based programs like ours.
