Kudos to our friends at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for orchestrating another impressive Thanksgiving Store for their community on Nov. 21-22. For 40 years now, church members have generously collected food, diapers, and more for their neighbors to help them enjoy a holiday of plenty with food on their tables. Volunteers delivered bags to 350 families in the community, and a drive-up was held for people in need to have their trunks filled up as well.
Our Winter Park team (Gwenell, Lynn, and Alice) received a large supply of diapers and helped deliver food to our struggling clients in Eatonville, Maitland, and Winter Park. Many of these are senior citizens living alone in apartments and families in nearby extended stay hotels. We are grateful for St. Margaret Mary, a church that truly cares for and walks alongside those in need.
